Point Capital Development - is a Jersey City based, Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that structures, finances, develops and manages private equity real estate investments in Jersey City, New Jersey. The company’s principal and founder, John D. Fio Rito, is a management professional with extensive experience in operations and has been developing property in Jersey City since 2005. During that time, Mr. Fio Rito has personally coordinated the acquisition, financing and development of 17 buildings. The Company currently manages real estate development projects with a value in excess of $100MM, including over 400 residential units.  Prior to moving to Jersey City, John worked as the plant manager of a $25MM/year, 400-employee contract packaging facility of Multi-Color Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Prior to Multi-Color, Mr. Fio Rito served as an officer in the United States Army.  While in the Army from 1994 to 2004, John served in various operations roles, both tactical and strategic, in the United States and Europe. He is a veteran of operations in the Middle East, as well as the Balkans where he served as a tank company commander. John was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters; as well as several campaign ribbons. Mr. Fio Rito received his MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1998 and his BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994; he is also a licensed real estate sales agent. John is married with 2 children and lives in Northern New Jersey.
